This policy covers personal data processed by Design2Cut (designtocut.com and app.designtocut.com) under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679, "GDPR") and Hungarian law.

Data kept for 24 months is deleted automatically every night once it is older than that.
We never see or store card details. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe.
Do you have to give us data? Only an e-mail address, and only if you want to sign in, buy, or receive a cut list by e-mail; without it we cannot provide those functions. Designing and free exports need no personal data. We make no automated decisions and do no profiling that affects you. The service is not directed at children under 16.
Design2Cut sets no cookies, and stores nothing on your device for analytics or advertising. That is why you are not asked to dismiss a cookie banner.
Your browser's local storage holds only what the tool needs to work, at your request. None of it leaves your device unless you ask us to save or share a design:

To understand how many people use the designer we place no identifier on your device. Instead our server derives a daily rotating fingerprint for each request: a one-way hash of the date, a secret salt, your IP address and your browser's user-agent string.
Neither your IP address nor your user-agent is stored, only that hash, which changes every day. We can tell visits apart within a single day, but we do not use the hash to identify you, and it cannot be linked across days.
Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified under it, and otherwise on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
You may access your data, correct it, ask us to erase it, ask us to restrict it, and receive it in a machine-readable format. You may withdraw consent at any time, which does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.
Right to object: you may object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interests (the analytics in section 2). We will then stop, unless we have compelling legitimate grounds or need the data to establish or defend legal claims.
You can do this yourself. Signed in, you can download everything we hold about you in one click, and permanently delete your account and designs. You do not have to wait for us to respond.
On deletion we do not destroy purchase records; we anonymise them by removing your e-mail and account reference. Hungarian accounting law requires us to retain the fact of the transaction for 8 years. Deleting your account also ends an active Pro subscription.

We may update this policy. We will notify registered users by e-mail of any material change.
